This Privacy Policy explains how Atlas Forged Labs collects, uses, discloses, and retains information when you visit the site, acknowledge the research-use gate, contact AFL, join the Research Network, create an account, or place an order.
1 // Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the site, AFL may collect identifiers and contact information such as name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address; account credentials; order and transaction information; product, presentation, fulfillment, and support records; marketing consent; research-use acknowledgment status; communications; and technical information such as IP address, browser, device, referral source, cookies, local storage, and security logs.
2 // Information You Should Not Submit
Do not send medical records, symptoms, diagnoses, treatment information, dosing details, government identification numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information. AFL does not need health information to process or support a research-material order.
3 // How We Use Information
- Process payment, fulfill orders, manage Quick Ship and Preorder items, and provide confirmations.
- Respond to support, documentation, damage, cancellation, and refund requests.
- Maintain accounts, carts, research-use acknowledgment, fraud controls, and site security.
- Maintain batch, inventory, transaction, tax, accounting, and compliance records.
- Send marketing email only when you have expressly opted in; you may unsubscribe at any time.
- Operate, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the site and customer experience.
- Comply with law, valid legal process, payment-network rules, and enforceable agreements.
4 // Payments
Payments are processed through Stripe and the WooCommerce Stripe integration. Information required to process or support a payment, including transaction amount and billing information, is shared with Stripe. Stripe-hosted payment fields tokenize sensitive card details so raw card data does not pass through AFL’s server. AFL may receive transaction identifiers and limited payment-method details needed for receipts, fraud review, refunds, and support.
5 // When We Share Information
AFL may share information with service providers that support hosting, WordPress and WooCommerce operations, payment processing, fraud prevention, email delivery, shipping, customer support, analytics if enabled, security, accounting, and legal compliance. Information may also be disclosed to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or abuse, complete a business transaction, or with your direction or consent. Service providers receive only the information reasonably needed for their role.
6 // Cookies and Local Storage
The site uses cookies and similar browser storage for essential functions including cart and checkout sessions, account access, research-use acknowledgment, security, fraud prevention, preferences, and performance. Payment and other integrated providers may set their own technologies under their privacy notices. Blocking essential storage may prevent the cart, gate, or checkout from functioning correctly.
7 // Marketing Communications
Joining the AFL Research Network is optional and separate from the required research-use acknowledgment. AFL records the email address, consent time, and source of the opt-in. Marketing messages include an unsubscribe mechanism. Transactional or service messages about an order may still be sent when necessary.
8 // Retention
AFL retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including order fulfillment, warranty or dispute handling, fraud prevention, tax and accounting obligations, legal compliance, and the establishment or defense of claims. Marketing records are retained until unsubscribe or deletion where appropriate. Retention periods may vary by record type and legal requirement.
9 // Security
AFL uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, including access controls, encrypted website connections, payment tokenization, software updates, backups, and security monitoring. No system or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
10 // Your Choices and Rights
You may unsubscribe from marketing, update account information, or request access, correction, deletion, or another privacy action through the Contact page. Rights vary by location and may be limited by identity verification, order records, tax, fraud, security, or other legal obligations. WordPress and WooCommerce provide tools AFL can use to export or erase eligible personal data.
11 // Sale of Personal Information
AFL does not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws define “sale” or “sharing” more broadly, particularly for cross-context behavioral advertising. AFL will evaluate and honor applicable opt-out rights if such technologies are enabled.
12 // Children
The site and products are not directed to children. AFL does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and purchasers must be at least 18 years old. Contact AFL if you believe a child submitted information.
13 // International Use
Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where service providers operate. Visitors are responsible for determining whether access, ordering, import, and research use are lawful in their jurisdiction.
14 // Changes
AFL may update this policy to reflect operational, legal, or service-provider changes. The revised policy will display a new effective date. Material changes may be communicated through the site or another appropriate channel.
15 // Contact
Privacy requests and questions may be submitted through the Contact page. Include “Privacy Request” as the topic and do not send sensitive identity documents unless AFL specifically requests a secure verification method.
